One wonders whether or not this could be a direct result of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)? GMOs are the latest breakthrough in science that has made life in terms of farming a lot easier. Scientist are now able to design new strains of crop seeds, implanted with bacteria which makes them better able to tolerate pesticides and weed killers such as “Round up”. Active ingredients within these weed killers are linked directly to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease, to name a few. Major crops that have been genetically engineered are soybeans, corn, canola and squash. These crops are used in everyday products such as oil, high fructose corn syrup, and sugar. Genetically engineered crops are widely added to processed foods. However, we all have choices when it comes to the food we eat. We can choose to eat these foods or not. But wait, there is a problem here. Most product labels attached to genetically engineered foods simply do not inform the public that they are GMO foods; nor do they list all the ingredients. We can only be as informed as possible and make wise decisions in order to live well. The real curse of Frankenfood Nature Biotechnology [Nat.
