  What is Contemporary Art? v Contemporary Art is art works of the present. Contemporary artists are still living today. These artists could be creating video installations and performances, which are some of the new forms of creating art. Contemporary art is diverse and eclectic; they have no single medium or ideology dominance. There is no definition of what this is since it is constantly changing but it will always be the art of the present, the current art of our time.
