“ Just as physical pain tells us what needs attention or healing , so does emotional pain .”
Normalization and practice are necessary to sustainably override barriers . Institutions can support this work by committing to supporting inner work , and engaging in explicit healing practices that are not exclusively left-brain focused . In doing so , we normalize inner work within our organizations , co-creating a culture of reflection and celebration of the whole person . While inner work should not be forced on an individual , when we invite people into it on their own terms , we promote individual and community healing .
To access our own subconscious wisdom is to plant and nurture new seeds for the life that we wish to create . Schools that make inner work a part of their ethos equip staff , faculty , and administrators to navigate the increasing challenges of today and nurture a generation of young people who know how to empower their own inner journeys , ultimately benefiting generations to come . When we accept the invitation to journey inward , no longer on the ends of strings that someone else pulls , we redesign our world . •
