In 2020 , we also began collecting employee feedback through regular and ongoing employee engagement surveys . These surveys help us assess how employees feel about working for Rea , and where we can improve to make Rea the best possible workplace for our people .
Many of our teams have gotten creative about how to connect with one another while we ’ re apart .
Our overall engagement score , which is an indicator of how engaged our employees are , is 8.9 out of 10 – which is in the top 5 percent of professional services companies . The survey results revealed that our employees most value our clear , defined strategic direction ; firm communications ; and peer relationships . We will continue to collect and use this survey data to not only understand our employees and their needs , but to create meaningful change at the firm to give our employees a great experience .
We ’ re also preparing to deploy Microsoft Teams , which will allow us to connect and collaborate with each other – and you – even better .
The One Thing That Hasn ’ t Changed
At a time when “ connections ” feel so different , even difficult , we were reminded of how important our connections really are – with you , with each other , and even with the technology we use . One day , this will all be a distant memory , but it would all have been for nothing if we didn ’ t learn and grow from it – and what we ’ ve learned is that : People matter . Relationships matter . Technology – when it helps us stay connected and secure – matters . When everything is changing , we need to change too , but it ’ s important to keep those connections close .
Making and maintaining “ connections ” has been critical for our firm this year . It ’ s not easy to stay connected while physically apart , which is why we have taken deliberate actions to maintain and strengthen the connections that , in many cases , took years to build .
