M & A ACTIVITY
Rea & Associates has developed a respected reputation in the construction and real estate sector as a full-service CPA and business consulting firm . This is why the Columbus-based firm W . J . Ubbing and Associates , a leading practice in the construction space , opted to join forces with Rea early in 2020 .
Rea continues to see incredible opportunities in Northeast Ohio , which is why merging in Jones Battles Group LLC on June 1 , 2020 , made perfect sense . Thanks to this union , clients gained access to a greater depth of services than ever before which , in turn , has allowed Rea to strengthen its presence in the region .
On Sept . 1 , 2020 , Rea merged in the Gahanna , Ohio-based firm Kennedy Cottrell Richards ( KCR ). Since forming in 2007 ,
KCR maintained a strong presence among government entities . This merger strengthens Rea ’ s already robust government services practice and will greatly benefit public schools , charter schools and municipalities across the state . Eventually , the former KCR team will move to Rea ’ s Dublin location . Until then , the team will continue serving clients from 186 N . High St ., Gahanna .
Rea made huge gains in Wooster after officially merging in Dyer Roche & Company , Inc . on Nov . 1 , 2020 . Dyer Roche built a strong presence throughout the Wooster , Millersburg , and Medina communities over the years . In addition to their presence in existing Rea markets , the complimentary culture made the decision to merge an easy one .
