Gone But Not Forgotten
Nearly one year after his diagnosis , on Jan . 15 , 2020 , Tim McDaniel , principal and director of valuation and transaction advisory services at Rea , lost his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ( ALS ). In an effort to keep Tim ’ s memory and mission alive , we got to work planning a special firm-wide competition to raise awareness and funds to support ALS-focused nonprofits . Across the state , Rea team members banded together on Oct . 30 to conduct walk-a-thons , pie local celebrities , organize costume contests , and more . The three offices that raised the most money were awarded extra funds from The Rea Foundation to donate to the ALS charity of their choice . In total , the firm donated $ 9,290 . Since taking on this initiative , the firm has donated more than $ 18,000 to ALS nonprofits , including The ALS Association of Central & Southern Ohio Chapter , I AM ALS , and Team Gleason .
