New Program Alert:
Metro
Metro has made a major commitment to diversity and inclusivity of small, minority, woman and veteran-owned businesses in the wealth of contracting and procurement opportunities created from Metro’s capital plan. Adopting this program is but one more example of how Metro is enabling the economic growth of the region’s diverse communities through the direct and indirect impacts of their contracting dollars.
Metro’s Program is designed to provide SBE, DVBE and DBE contractors with a broad range of technical assistance, training, and bonding support to help grow contracting capacity to compete, and more importantly successfully complete Metro projects. This is a significant investment by Metro and includes bond collateral support of up to $250,000 per contract, which engages Metro as a risk-sharing partner committed to the contracting success of SBE, DVBE and DBE firms.
This is a great opportunity for small and diverse contractors to maximize their contracting potential within the abundant array of contracting opportunities currently forecasted to be available in the greater Los Angeles region. We're excited about our new relationship with Metro and eagerly look forward to collaborating with the small and diverse contracting community of Los Angeles to capitalize on this new endeavor.
Please stay tuned as we continue to share more information about this exciting development. In the meantime, please feel free to direct any inquiries to [email protected] or contact us at (213) 258-3000.

We are pleased to announce that the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority will become the newest public agency to sponsor our Contractor Development And Bonding Program. The Metro Board Members voted unanimously on Thursday, November 30th to award this contract to Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services for the administration of Metro’s Contractor Development And Bonding Pilot Program. The Program was formally launched to the public during Metro’s Meet the Primes event on February 20th, where Metro’s own Deputy CEO, Stephanie Wiggins, extended a very warm and enticing introduction for the Program to the nearly 500 participants of Primes and Subcontractors who were in attendance.
