July Incidents
07/11/17 West Haven, CT 329 Center St. dwelling
fire -Shortly before three a.m., West Haven firefight-
ers were alerted for a dwelling fire two blocks from
their station. While in route they received notification
of an occupant trapped in her second floor bedroom.
Units arrived to find fire venting out the first floor
front door. Companies made an aggressive attack,
hampered by a burnt out interior staircase. Additional
companies coordinated with a search above the fire to
find one female occupant on the second floor. The
fire was quickly knockdown. Several people were
displaced and had to seek shelter. The rescued occu-
pant is expected to survive. The cause of the fire is
suspicious and being jointly investigated by local and
state FMO's.
