You have more freedom here, but you have to take care of yourself. Everything is about collaboration, and college is mostly about collaboration and group work. Margaret Wis Band Director Austin Academy for Excellence The beautiful new band hall has instilled great pride in the band students, parents and staff. The room is large enough to spread out to play properly. In addition, the high ceiling allows us to hear one another to work on tuning, uniformity of line and balance.
