Ready 1:1 update
Beginning with the 2018-19 school year, GISD high school
students who choose to participate in the Ready 1:1 iPad
program will be required to pay $25. This new annual,
nonrefundable fee is intended to establish sustainability
for the initiative, with funds being used to cover costs
directly related to device maintenance and support.
Providing students with access to digital resources,
online textbooks and productivity tools, 96 percent
of GISD high schoolers participated in the Ready 1:1 iPad
program during 2017-18.

My mom moving to Rowlett was the best thing
that happened to me. Everybody was so supportive. My
coaches gave me a different perspective on life and a
different perspective on what I could be in life.
