Adulthood Weddings Then comes the big day, we all know a wedding was never a wedding without “Here comes the Bride”. The official name of this song is the Bridal Chorus written by a German composer named Richard Wagner and was initially part of an Opera. It became a wedding tradition after it was played at Queen Victoria Daughter’s wedding in 1858. The tradition still exists but many have opted for changes, resorting to live bands or instrumentals but of course it lies within the same tone, pitch and melody of the traditional bridal march. Amazing Grace, written by Englishman John Newton, was initially composed for a New Year's Day sermon in 1733. It eventually became the “face” of funeral sermons and memorials for public servants such as police officers, firefighters and military officers. The song is said to be well suited for aligning with emotions such as grief, oppression, longing, hope and finally peace, which makes it perfect for these bitter-sweet moments.
