Teenage Journey As we grow and transition, nursery rhymes are now seen as a thing of the past, we’ve “outgrown” them, but we can never outgrow music. During the teenage and adolescent phase we discover the world and what it has to offer and we take music along with us, psychologically teens need it. Boy bands after boy bands, the iconic pop girl, house parties, music festivals you name it, during our teenage years we embrace everything music. Graduation Day The famous graduation song, rightfully named the “Pomp and Circumstance”, has been heard at most if not all graduations. In fact if it’s not this it is something pretty close in composure. What sparked this go to song? It was written by British Composer Edward Elgar in 1901. It was presented to the Royal Family in 1902 for the coronation of Edward VII. After this Elgar, in the United States, played this song for his doctorate attainment ceremony at Yale University.
