Hello Connect Readers. This is your resident CONNECT Creator, SaiKira! For those of you that create or are interested in creating, you probably know upfront that it takes A LOT of hard work and dedication to be a success. Learning how to create is a moun- tainous feat of its own, but once you have a good grasp on that concept, you then need to mar- ket yourself to the IMVU Community. Though IMVU gives you the tools that help you become a content creator, there is little help out there when it comes to marketing your shop and brand that IMVU offers. That was until April of 2019 when IMVU launched the first Creator Advertising Program. This was IMVU’s first real step at helping creators market their shops directly through their mobile channels thus connecting them with real buyers. Of course, I was excited about this rollout but the advertisement comes at a steep price. This set me out on a journey to find out: is it worth it? To give you a quick overview of the program, here is a simple breakdown on how it works. • IMVU will run an advertisement campaign fully created by you on IMVU’s mobile de- vice feeds. The campaign includes a small ad and call to action all created by the creator. • Once the ad is submitted and approved, IMVU will then share it out through the IMVU Mobile Feed and guarantees at least 100,000 impressions, and weekly progress sales re- ports. Sounds too good to be true? Well, there is a catch, a big one. All of this advertisement comes at a price of 1 million credits. Yes, believe me, you read that right. IMVU does give you three op- tions on how you can pay that include: 1. Paying the full amount in credits 2. Paying 100,000 dev tokens (Every 100 developer tokens = 1,000 credits) 3. Splitting the payment between dev tokens and the remainder in credits With all the info in hand, I really wanted to see for myself if something like this would be worth the credits spent in efforts to answer some questions like, “Would my sales increase?” “How in-depth are the progress reports?” and lastly, “Is this possible for a new budding crea- tor?” To provide you with full transparency, take a look at my current creator specs and graphics provided for my sales in 2019.
