Some of these innovations have been communicated to franchisees in Australia and are briefly summarised below: 1. Development of Packaging and Freight Shopping Cart Software Integration This is a solution that will allow the customer to sell product from their website and link their sales order processing system directly to the power and reach of the PACK & SEND retail network and delivery system. 2. Development of a Parcel Collect Service This is a solution that offers PACK & SEND locations to customers as an alternative delivery location (instead of their home) for any goods they have purchased from any web-store online. 3. Development of Advantage Partner Web System This is a solution that that enables volume business customers (who use Service Centre solutions) to log-in to a web portal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to gain access to a range of information, including a customised ‘rate card’ developed by the franchisee. Service Centre network with an extensive national PACK & SEND Parcel Pick-Up Point network. The key to our ongoing success and growth in the modern world is that we not only have to continue to innovate, but we also need to become more agile in the implementation process. The timing of innovation projects obviously need to be considered in light of budgetary constraints and resources. But when a project starts, agility is paramount. The Agile Methodology to innovation is an alternative to the traditional approach of launching new innovations and is being rapidly adopted worldwide. Agile innovation could be briefly summarised as ‘Innovating together – quickly’. It consists of teams comprising franchisees and franchisor staff who are empowered to achieve specific objectives within non-negotiable ground rules.
