Focus on Leadership at NAE
At NAU we aim to ensure that your personal development runs as seamlessly as possible. Later this month we will be introducing a new personal dashboard for all our members. Learning is a social as well as individual experience, and that is why we aim to integrate all the social aspects of our site, presenting them to you in one simple and readily accessible hub.
We understand that we offer a lot of courses for you to take, and keeping track of these can be frustrating! So we'll be implementing a progress bar at the top of your dashboard, outlining exactly where you are with each of your modules. Additionally, in an effort to ensure your information is collectively stored and brought together, we will be adding new buttons to your dashboard such as ‘My Discussions’ (detailing all conversations you are currently involved in), ‘Certificates’ (to keep all those well-earned documents in one place!) and ‘My likes’ (because I am sure we all feel that it is good to know what sort of impact our posts are having on other members of Nord Anglia).
You may be wondering the reason for all of this. Firstly, we want to create a sense of community, and by integrating many aspects of our page into one easy-to-use dashboard, we hope you'll feel more like part of a team, being able to see what colleagues and peers are liking, and have immediate access to all your forums and activities at the click of a button.
Our goal is simple: to improve your learning experience. We would love to receive your feedback on what aspects of our new dashboard are working for you, and if you feel something could be improved, do not hesitate to let us know! For any additional information, please contact [email protected].
Our Leadership Programmes are now underway for 2018 and as promised we will regularly update you on how the courses are going. If you have participants in your school or office check in with them and ask.
Our Senior Leaders are just back from their first residential event where they met in Abu Dhabi and in their March task are reflecting on the sessions that they took as well as their own performance.
Our Middle Leaders have been taking some of our short workplace skills courses so that they can each focus on the areas that they need to develop. This includes courses like managing change, negotiating and influencing and tackling difficult conversations.
Last year’s cohorts have also started to receive their certificates; here’s a gallery of images that they’ve sent us to show how proud they (and their schools) are of their achievement.
If you think you’d like to apply for 2019 applications will shortly open and you’ll be able to apply until September. You can find information about the courses on NAU in the Leadership Hub.
