The Conference News Agency Awards recognised the agencies making a difference in 2023 , learn more about the winners ecognising excellence in our industry is so vital , identifying the agencies that are doing events right helps us put our best foot forward and highlight the true value of the events industry to the wider market .
The Conference News Agency Awards ( CNAAs ) took place on 3 March , 2023 and celebrated the best that event agencies have to offer at the QEII Centre in Westminster . The evening was 70s disco themed , with attendees dressed to impress for a boogie night to remember .
Pioneering success The awards kicked off with Cameron Roberts , editor , Conference News , presenting the Pioneer Award , which aims to recognise an individual who changing the game . This year ’ s winner was Michael Gietzen , CEO , Identity , who won the award for spearheading Identity ’ s world-class portfolio of events in 2023 .
The award was preceded with a video describing Gietzen , featuring key industry figures . Martin Fullard , associate director , Davies Tanner , said : “ He really is at the top of his game , he has built up a fantastic company that has been at the biggest events in the world , not just the UK , the world .”
Mary Carter-Lee , people and culture director , Identity , said : “ He ’ s definitely one of the most entrepreneurial people I have ever met , with him he sees opportunities , he doesn ’ t see barriers .”
What they said The awards winners ranged from creative agencies and salespeople to communications organisations and PCOs , but they all shared the experience of being recognised by some of the industry ’ s leading experts . www . conference-news . co . uk
