or over two decades Chris Berrisford has headed up Insite Graphics , a company he co-founded in 2001 . Despite the challenges of Covid-19 , Insite has remained as a chosen supplier for next generation business events , as it combines event signage with sustainable principles .

Conference News ( CN ): Why did you originally create Insite Graphics ? Chris Berrisford ( CB ): Having worked in the outdoor advertising industry for a number of years , I came up with the idea of introducing a street furniture light box as an exhibition offering for advertisers and exhibitors . Event organisers liked the concept and it evolved into an illuminated ‘ You Are Here ’ plan .
Over the years innovation , quality and design have remained our core motivators . We now include sustainability in that mix too . We are always looking for new ways of
“ We have always re-invested to make our business relevant and accountable and are on a continuous mission to make our products increasingly sustainable and attractive .” designing attractive , sustainable products and standing out from the crowd with our service offering .
CN : Sustainability and the circular economy are now an integral part of the business events industry . You ’ ve been at the forefront of sustainable design and production for many years , can you tell us how this came about ? CB : We started pivoting towards sustainability in 2013 when I first realised what was coming down the line . We began making the really big changes six years ago when we invested in our Dye-Sub machine ( which uses water-based ink ) and Zund cutting machine ( which minimises waste ). Our range of printing and finishing machines also enable us to use recycled weave in our soft fabric signage .
We have always re-invested to make our business relevant and accountable and are on a continuous mission to make our products increasingly sustainable and attractive . Because of this consistent investment in the latest ECO print technologies , we can now create and install highly innovative eco graphics , signage and Confex exhibitor booths .
I think it ’ s also worth mentioning that for the last four years we have retained the globally recognised , ISO 14001 sustainability standard . This has to be resubmitted every year and I ’ m incredibly proud that we achieve it each year .
CN : Can you tell us how you have designed your products with sustainability in mind ? CB : In a nutshell , our card-based signage can be completely recycled , our fabric soft signage is recycled into fuel for energy , and www . conference-news . co . uk
