Two other Singapore bars are newbies on this year ’ s list ; the Republic Bar
( No . 12 ) at the Ritz Hotel and the cocktail bar Analogue ( No . 37 ) where the theme of sustainability looms large .
They join a cross-section of other Singapore bars , Manhattan ( No . 9 ), No Sleep Club ( No . 15 ), Tippling Club ( No . 27 ), Sago House ( No . 31 ), Nutmeg & Clove ( No . 36 ), and 28 HongKong Street ( No . 49 ).
Meanwhile , the MO Bar claimed the No . 8 spot and received the Nikka Highest Climber Award on the list . Inspired by the Pacific Ocean and rich culture of Asia ’ s ports , MO BAR is designed as a celebration of the flavours and aromas of the region . It ’ s located within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel , with breath-taking views of Marina Bay .

Nevertheless , the famous home of the Singapore Sling is now fully restored and remains a popular destination . It maintains its decor of deep , rich colours and lush greenery redolent of a tropical plantation . In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere , guests are still encouraged to drop their peanut shells onto the floor .
