ICCA and IAPCO enter partnership following agreement at ICCA Congress
Industry associations ICCA , at its recent Congress in Abu Dhabi , and IAPCO signed an agreement to provide mutual support in their efforts to promote the meetings and events industry . Among the initiatives discussed were a PCO capacity-building programme to develop the industry in underserved areas .
Sarah Markey-Hamm , president of IAPCO , said the two organisations would conduct research to determine locations where capacity-building would be most effective . Planned programmes include workshops and educational sessions to target professionals .

Cairns secures lucrative international incentive event for 2025
Tourism Tropical North Queensland ( TTNQ ) in Australia has beaten destinations around Australia to secure an international Amway incentive that is expected to inject A $ 11.68m ( US $ 7.51m ) into the Cairns regional economy .
TTNQ chief executive officer Mark Olsen said Amway Korea would bring 2,700 delegates to Cairns in 2025 . Delegates will come from across the Asia-Pacific region in six waves from 17 November to 9 December . International incentive groups are the highest-yielding market in tourism with an average spend of A $ 1,000 per delegate per day .
