Revenue per delegate rising fast , according to UK think tank UK think tank , The Business of Events , in association with Venue Performance , published its Events Economy Tracker for Q3 2024 , which showed revenue per delegate rising fast .
The tracker , which analyses data from a sample of 350 venues , details booking trends , revenue per delegate and lead times .
For Q3 2024 , revenue per delegate , which includes venue hire charges , F & B , and expenses such as AV hire , reached an all-time high of £ 150.01 – a significant increase from Q1 2024 ’ s £ 114.30 and indicates a strong end to the year , reflecting improved UK market conditions .

Gen Z are most eager to travel to corporate events , report suggest Gen Z are more eager to travel to corporate events than millennials and boomers , a survey by RainFocus has shown . Over three-quarters ( 77 %) of Gen Z respondents reported being likely or very likely to attend a business that requires travel , compared to 54 % overall .
The study compared delegate preferences across different generations , gathering results from 1,000 US respondents .
Other findings included the idea that branded swag is wasteful and ineffective for achieving marketing goals and converting customers , although Gen Z proved partial to digital giveaways ( 40 %) and ( 52 %) managed to find ‘ value ’ in premium event giveaways such as an iPad .

Amal Clooney to join Convening Leaders 25 line-up Lawyer and human rights advocate Amal Clooney will speak at industry association PCMA ’ s Convening Leaders 2025 ( CL25 ) event in Houston , Texas . She will share insights into leveraging a platform to influence positive change .
The conference takes place at the George R . Brown Convention Center , 12-15 January 2025 .

World ’ s first national CVB celebrates 60th anniversary On 18 December , 1964 , in Bern , Switzerland , the world ’ s first national convention bureau was created as the ‘ Interest Group of Swiss Congress Cities ’. Now , 60 years later , the organisation known as the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau ( SCIB ), is active in 13 countries .
The Swiss meeting destinations Bern , Engelberg , Interlaken , Lausanne , Montreux , St Moritz and Zürich united back then to establish that first ever national CVB , which today sits under the national marketing organisation , Switzerland Tourism .
Barbra Albrecht , director of SCIB said : “ SCIB will continue to inspire organisers , companies and participants alike to come to Switzerland for many more decades .”
