ICC Sydney recognised at MEA National Awards gala International Convention Centre Sydney ( ICC Sydney ), managed by ASM Global , scored a hat trick in the Meetings and Events Australia ( MEA ) National Awards 2023 , being named a winner in three categories .
ICC Sydney was lauded in the categories of Skilling Programme of the Year , Virtual Event of the Year – highlighting the successful delivery of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia ’ s ( RCPA ) Pathology Update 2021 , and Operations Person of the Year – Jack Crozier , senior AV technical manager .

$ 3.54bn boost for MICE at Dubai World Trade Centre Large-scale events at Dubai World Trade Centre ( DWTC ) generated total incremental economic output of AED13bn ( US $ 3.54bn ) last year with a substantial 57 % retained within Dubai ’ s GDP .
The figures are confirmed in the latest 2022 Economic Impact Assessment ( EIA ) Annual Report and show that every dirham invested at DWTC for events and related services within the MICE sector , generated over 7.4 times that value across the city ’ s wider economy . The report also noted that 40 % of DWTC attendees were international .
