Las Vegas tourism industry hits record high in 2022 A new report from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority ( LVCVA ) reveals that total economic output related to visitor spending reached a record $ 79.3bn in 2022 . This figure is a 24.7 % increase from the previous record set in 2019 .
The annual report outlines economic impacts associated with the region ’ s tourism industry and convention travel , including visitor room spending , dining , shopping , sports , transportation , and other amenities .

VisitEngland announces 12 more local visitor economy partnerships ( LVEPs )
VisitEngland has announced 12 destinations to gain Local Visitor Economy Partnership ( LVEP ) status , in addition to the three North East Destination Development Partnership ( DDP ) pilot LVEPs announced earlier this year . Developed and administered by VisitEngland , the national portfolio of LVEPs work locally and nationally on shared priorities and targets to grow the local visitor economy .
The creation of LVEPs was part of the UK government ’ s response to ‘‘ The de Bois Review : an independent review of DMOs in England ’.

Japan approves first casino , with conference centre part of new integrated resort
The Japanese government has given the go-ahead for the country ’ s its first casino , 14 April . It will be part of an integrated resort to open in Osaka in 2029 .
The integrated resort will include a conference centre , exhibition hall , hotel and theatre on a 492,000sqm site . The Osaka Prefecture had bid in partnership with MGM to construct an integrated resort ( IR ) on Yumeshima , an artificial island in Osaka Bay . The project is expected to overall carry a US $ 8.1bn price tag .
MIDDLE EAST DXB Live achieves 50 % growth in 2022 DXB Live , an experiential agency for Dubai World Trade Centre ( DWTC ), achieved 50 % growth in 2022 . According to the agency , it worked on 432 events and interacted with new markets including Saudi Arabia , Bahrain , and Germany . DXB Live additionally worked on 50 exhibitions in 2022 , including GITEX Global , Gulfood , Light Middle East , and Beauty World .
“ 2022 was a significant year as we achieved unprecedented results in terms of growth , of clients , and projects , and new markets ,” said Khalid Al Hammadi , senior VP of DXB Live .
