‘ SusHi Tech Tokyo ’ to show how cities can build sustainable societies
Aiming to help build a sustainable society , the Japanese city of Tokyo has launched a new PR concept – alongside two events .
The concept , ‘ Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo ’ ( SusHi Tech Tokyo ), plans to tackle common global urban challenges through technology , diversity , and digital know-how .
The city has announced both the City-Tech . Tokyo and the Global City Network for Sustainability ( G-NETS ) Leaders ’ Summit at the end of February . The former ’ s goal will be to improve collaborations and investment in infrastructure ; the environment ; and generate new urban visions .
G-NETS Leaders ’ Summit , held between 1 Feb – 1 March , is an event for leaders from cities around the world to discuss initiatives to solve urban issues and prospects .
Through these two events , Tokyo will present a vision of how cities can create “ a new value system to build sustainable societies ” so that the next generation can “ overcome the common urban challenges of the world ”

ExpoPlatform renews its partnership with ETT Club
Event technology provider ExpoPlatform has agreed to be an Online Platform Gold Sponsor for ETT throughout 2023 , backing its mission to educate and improve the event industry . ETT Club is an initiative by MBB Consulting Group and industry association UFI .
Matthias Tesi Baur , CEO and founder of MBB Consulting Group , said : “ Having ExpoPlatform as a supporter again in 2023 for ETT Club enables us to continue the journey of hierarchy-free collaboration and innovation around the globe .”
ETT Club members come from different sectors and countries but come together to share their expertise , vision and insights , with about 80 % of the sessions held for free to help improve inclusion .
Although the ETT Club only organised online events during the pandemic , it is now organising live events for their members to meet in person .
ExpoPlatform has released specialist ebooks under its Future of Events range , as well as new research into the digital future through the Event Tech Forecast 2023 .
LEAP23 breaks record for world ’ s most attended global tech event
Technology event LEAP23 , held 6-9 February 2023 in Saudi Arabia , has broken the world record for the most attended global tech event .
Despite having only launched in 2022 , the event organisers have confirmed that its second edition was attended by 172,000 delegates .
During the event , transactions between visitors and buyers resulted in over USD $ 9bn , which was a 32 % increase from 2022 ’ s figure of
USD $ 6.8bn . The success of the event has been taken into consideration ahead of

LEAP24 which will be moving to a 120,000sqm capacity venue to double the floor space .
Michael Champion , head of Tahaluf who organises LEAP , said : “ In its first edition , LEAP22 enjoyed the largest debut of any technology event in history ”
Champion continued : “ In its second year , LEAP23 has rewritten the rule book once more to become the world ’ s largest technology sector event by attendance .”
