Western Australia

Aboriginal experiences They say a picture is worth a thousand words and in this case , a thousand stories . The region offers many opportunities for business event visitors to connect with signature Indigenous Cultural experiences across the State .
Business Events Perth recently commissioned a signature artwork through local artistic agency Nani Creative , an Aboriginal-led creative studio , highlighting the importance of Indigenous Cultural experiences across this State . This work features native flora and fauna spanning , from the red sands of the North to the deep colours of the South West and in between .
The artist Kevin Wilson says : “ This design pushes the conventional thoughts of how Western Australia looks and feels . Our State is vast and is full of life and pockets of colour if you look close enough . The design focuses on native flora and fauna , the vibrant colours within our landscapes and nods to our Aboriginal communities who have cared for the land for tens of thousands of years .”
You ’ ll see this displayed throughout Business Events Perth ’ s marketing , activated to recognise its 50th year as an organisation and at trade shows nationally and internationally . They want international visitors to connect with the world ’ s oldest living culture , dating back 60,000 years .
This activation is part of their efforts to support the delivery of the Jina : Western Australian Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan 2021-2025 , which was developed by the government of Western Australia to strategically enhance the State ’ s Aboriginal tourism experiences and encourage engagement and employment for Aboriginal people in the tourism sector .
