New Youth Ministry Program in the Parish of Incarnation-St. James, Ewing, NJ.

(USA)

The parish of Incarnation-St. James, Ewing, New Jersey, has begun a new youth ministry program and held a gathering of the youth on Saturday, September 24. The day began at 10:00 with an introduction by Fr. Santhosh George, OSST, and an opening prayer led by Fr. Daniel Houde, OSST, pastor.

The meeting was very spirit filled and lively. The gathering began with a song to open the hearts of all the participants to the Holy Spirit, that He may" melt us, mold us,fill us and use us".

The Youth Harvest 2011 helped the young people deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through the bestowal of grace, communal prayer and liturgical experiences; it awakened their awareness of the spirit at work in their lives.

Young people are striving to be part of a community. They want to feel connected to other young people with whom they will feel safe and connected. The purpose of the program was to help them to become more connected to their own families, to the parish, and to the wider community, including school and other youth organizations.

This experience for the youth group was enthusiastic and spirit filled. It acknowledged that God, who is Truth, is the one way.

The day was filled with fun and laughter, and wisdom and truth were shared. Truly, it was a great day to walk with the youth on their journey of faith!
