PROJECT SHOWCASE 2019 PROJECT SPECS CONSTRUCTION COST: $34.4 MILLION (BUDGETED) LOCATION: Fair Oaks, CA T he Science/Media Commons & CTE Project will bring relevant, career-focused, 21st Century learning environments to the 55- year old Del Campo High School campus. An existing vocational building will be repurposed to include popular career technical education programs including Fire/EMT, Computer Technology and Television Broadcast. These state-of-the-art facilities will provide relevant and rigorous courses that will prepare students for high-wage, high-skill and high-demand jobs in today’s workplace. A new 2-story science center will replace existing outdated facilities with highly collaborative learning environments with an emphasis on flexibility, safety and the promotion of student and teacher interaction. The project’s cornerstone will be a high- bay, multi-media commons designed to encourage student collaboration and showcase high school academia to the community with its 2-story exterior glazing and dramatic lighting.
