This provides you with an opportunity to expand your cultural horizons, to make your CV stand out from the crowd, and to enrich your academic and professional outlook. The International Year takes place between your second and third years as a complementary year of study. The year will be spent at one or two of our partner institutions. For assessment purposes this is a pass/fail year. Students registered for Single Honours Computer Science may either be admitted for, or apply to transfer during their period of study in the second year, to the Single Honours Computer Science with International Year. Study during the other years will be as per the Single Honours Computer Science programme. keele.ac.uk/scm The Single Honours Computer Science programme may be taken with a full Work Placement Year in industry. This will enable you to undertake a full year’s work in industry as part of a four-year sandwich degree, giving you important work experience for your CV. Students registered for Single Honours Computer Science may either be admitted for, or apply to transfer during their period of study in the second year, to the Single Honours Computer Science with International Year. The Work Placement Year takes place between your second and third years. Study during the other years will be as per the Single Honours Computer Science programme. There will be one additional non-credit bearing module covering the work placement year that students must pass to graduate with the ‘with work placement year’ version of the degree.
