Book Review
Boy meets Boy
David Levithan
Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan is a young adult book focused around a teenage boy named Paul. This book is aimed at the LGBT community and one of the best gay books I have read, no sorry the best gay book I have read.
This is an amazing Book! I normally am a slow reader and take around a month to finish a book, this one I had done in 3 days because I could not put it down. The characters after the first few chapters really come into themselves and I found myself upset when things went wrong for them. I find it rare that a book can do this too me.
The best thing about this book without a doubt is the world it paints, this town is amazing. The whole place is a gay utopia, I don’t want to spoil too much but everything is just amazing and my only regret is that its not real. I just know any member of the LGBT community that reads this will fall in love with this world.
The biggest problem this book has in my opinion is the ending, it left me wondering a lot of things and it didn’t feel like an end. This could be viewed as good as real life is like this and so it makes it more realistic however I still like an ending in a book. I may just be complaining because it did end and I would honestly have just liked to have been living in this world.
I want to find more wrong with this book, I really do just for this review but I can’t. I am sorry but the ending leaving a few loose ends is the only thing that I didn’t like about this. I give this book 5 out of 5 and it really does deserve it, I think I’ll read it again soon.
