Board of Directors 2012-2013
Cherylyn Shewchuk
President
Cherylyn volunteered with a number of events and organizations such as the United Way, through the
Government of Canada Workplace Campaign Committee (GCWCC) as Chair for Fisheries and Oceans Prairies
Area and Edmonton Office; 6th Annual March for Missing and Murdered Women Edmonton; Stand Up
Against Poverty; UW Tools for Schools; activities of the PSAC’s Edmonton Area Council and the Edmonton
Regional Women’s Committee; and the Westmount Christian Council. Cherylyn enjoys The Arts, volunteering,
jazz, writing and currently enjoys spending what little free time she has with her family, especially her
godsons. Cherylyn joined the Board in 2011 and will complete her service with us this AGM.
Camille Dubé
Vice President
Camille is an individual with a vested interest in children, adults, and families with disabilities. working as a
home-based child intervention therapist for children with a range of disabilities for several years now, she
hopes to combine her work experience with advocating for the rights of children with disabilities as well as
their families. Camille was employed as a research assistant for one of her professors during july and august
2010, interviewing parents of children with disabilities province-wide. combining her range of experiences
into phd research, she is now looking into children’s rights within therapy. Camille joined the Board in 2010.
Trevor Glover
Treasurer
Trevor joined the Board in 2011 while pursuing his designation as a chartered accountant. due to significant
work changes and long work hours, he completes his term of service this agm.
Lindsay Wodinski
Secretary
Lindsay Wodinski was a student intern for 2010-2011 for the Community Options Board of Directors. she
has been elected as the Secretary for 2011-2012. Lindsay has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology at
MacWwan University and recently completed her Master’s Degree in Sociology at the University of Alberta.
Her research interests and thesis work focus on the impact of changing social, political, and economic
conditions on social-serving nonprofit organizations in Alberta.
Brian Leonard
Member At Large
Brian recently retired from his position as a Children’s Advocate with Alberta Children’s Services. He is
dedicated to supporting children and in his role as a Board member for Community Options. Brian joined
the board in 2009.
