Preschool

Our program
Edmonton Northwest Preschool is completing its third year at Inglewood school. We share space with the Edmonton
Northwest Out Of School Care and it has been a great partnership of shared resources and excellent team work that
has brought us successfully thus far.
Our license allows us to serve twenty children in morning and afternoon sessions. We enrol children ages 3-5 years,
and share the room with younger children in the Out Of School Care facility. Being situated in the Inglewood school
has allowed a smooth function for the preschool as the school Principal is very supportive to our program.
Fun activities have been organized by our dynamic team: Miss Chrissy and Miss Carmen. Currently, 20 children attend
in the morning program and another 20 children attend in the afternoon.
Open-ended art is encouraged. The children enjoy opportunities to be creative. The teachers have been working on
compiling pieces of art from each child to be placed in their take-home scrap book for the end of the year.
The librarians from the Woodcroft Branch have come to visit the classroom to read stories, sing songs and put on
puppet shows for the children. Program staff have also taken the children on field trips to the library for activities. The
children enjoy this opportunity and are very engaged each time they visit.
