Then there is the furry creature that reproduces way too many babies – 6 to12 of‘ em after only 23 days. We are pretty destructive – love to hang out in the attic, in the house, under the hood of your car eating wires … we’ re not too particular. oh yeah – forgot – we are the rattus. rattus, aka: roof, tree, fruit, sewer … Black rAT. Yeah, we go by many names. We look like cute mice when we are young, but keep in mind that at three months we’ re having babies. So, make sure you have any openings sealed up: I can get into a space the size of a dime, and when grown, a quarter or smaller. I make a mess: Poop and pee all over the place. once I get established, I’ m in it for the long haul, too. lastly, us ants, we have a huge job to do. Not all of us are biters. If they made little muzzles, we’ d probably be good for something, but we will never know. Most of the time we are only looking for food to take back to the queen for that is the only job we have, to support her lazy a _ _— oops— butt.
Some of us aerate the ground, save seeds, eat scale off plants, eat termites. Some of the time, we’ re just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But one thing we really do love is coffee. Not the cream or sugar, just a good ole shot of caffeine. So, when your dragging and get a cup of coffee, think about the little ole ant needing a boost. I know you think you have to kill most of us, but save a few of us, as we do have a purpose.
Happy springtime to all of you from your favorite local hired killer!
Tis the( Spring) season for bugs and pests to start spreading their cheer – inside and out.
