SUMMER DATES

Excavation, while older kids and teens can take part in activities such as vision boarding, trucker hat design and even a babysitting certification course with CPR training.
Family-friendly highlights include Touch-a-Truck, where children can explore emergency and service vehicles up close, as well as movie matinees, wildlife presentations and themed craft days. Special programs tied to America’ s 250th anniversary celebration are also scheduled throughout the summer.
Teens have opportunities beyond attending events. The library is also calling on volunteers ages 14 and older to assist with programs, help younger children and support staff during the busy season— offering a chance to build leadership skills and gain valuable experience for future resumes and college applications.
From reading with therapy dogs to hands-on science activities and live entertainment, the Summer Reading Program continues to serve as a cornerstone of summer in Cleburne— blending education, creativity and community connection.
Families can register for the reading challenge, reserve spots for select programs or learn more by visiting the library in person or online. With dozens of events still ahead, there’ s plenty of opportunity this summer to pick up a book— and unearth a story.
