Community Education offers a wide
variety of unique activities in the
evening, on the weekend or afterschool – designed for teens – to
enhance their academic and social
experience:

• LEARN: baby sitting, tutoring
and safety awareness

FENCING
Are you ready to duel? Attack, defense and timing tactics are all integrated into
the art of sword fighting. You will acquire quick reflexes, stamina, strategic abilities,
speed, coordination and concentration. Safety is our first priority. We supply safe
swords, protective masks and jackets, and a high-octane environment. New and
returning students invited. Wear long sweatpants and athletic shoes.

SPORTS ENHANCEMENT STRENGTH TRAINING
AND CONDITIONING
Accelerate your athletic potential with this new strength training and conditioning
program designed specifically for you by YMCA personal trainers. You’ll create a
foundation by teaching your body proper movement patterns and then build on
that to increase athletic strength, agility and power. Class includes dynamic warmups, speed and agility work, proper breathing and lifting techniques, cardiovascular
endurance training, interval training as well as instruction on proper nutrition to

GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR BOYS AND GIRLS
Tee off in this tournament designed for experienced golfers. Shotgun start at
9:30 a.m. Students must have an average of 60 or below (9 holes) to qualify.
Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the executive golf course.
Fee includes green fee, hot dog, chips and soda. Bring your own clubs.
