There is more to active life than traditional sports. Ignite your passion and excitement
for sports by way of bow and arrow. Each day you’ll learn the safety, technique and

Table Tennis
Ping pong anyone? Join our co-ed recreational table tennis league. You will have the
chance to learn and play the game of ping pong and compete against other middle
school teams in the district. What a great way to hang out after school and meet new

Ultimate
Join one of the fastest growing non-contact sports in the country. Ultimate, initially
known as Ultimate Frisbee®, combines the non-stop movement and endurance of
soccer with the passing skills of football in a fast-paced game played with a flying disc
(Frisbee). The game is intense and strategic and will help you develop sharp throwing
skills, stamina and agility. Enjoy the “spirit of the game” by competing with other
middle school teams in the district. Sports Qualifying Physical required, see page 1 for
details. No class April 29.

Fencing has evolved and has been deemed the “sport of the intellectual athlete!”
Olympic Coach Ro Sobalvarro will introduce new students to a pulse-pounding sport
while returning students continue their study. Equipment provided. Wear long pants
and athletic shoes. No class February 5, 19 and March 12. Presented by Youth
Enrichment League.

THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.:
PRESENTED BY ANOKA CHILDREN’S THEATER
Introduce your family to theatre and attend a show! Anoka Children’s Theatre at
Anoka Middle School provides learning opportunities for young actors. Journey
“under the sea” with Ariel and her friends in The Little Mermaid. Made possible
through funding from the City of Anoka. Performances are scheduled Fri., Mar.
29, 7:30 pm; Sat., Mar. 30, 2 and 7:30 pm; and Sun., Mar. 31, 2 pm.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL
TOURNAMENT
Join us for fun 3-on-3 basketball
tournament. This is a boys
competitive tournament designed to
offer a unique setting where players
are in control - no coaches. Each team
(three-five players) is guaranteed three
