PARENT/CHILD CLASSES
NEW! Parenting Across Generations
Whether you are a full-time caregiver and grandparent, occasionally care
for your grandchild, or are raising other’s children, this class is meant for
you! Adults and children will have the opportunity to paint, play, sing and
read together. Adults will also have time to talk with other caregivers about
their role. A Family Support Specialist from Lutheran Social Services will be
available at each class with resource information and community support.

Adventures in Parenting NEW! Taking Care of Yourself
Parenting is a challenging job
with struggles and trials. For
some, the challenge is even
more difficult due to: As a parent, we most always take excellent care of our children but often
forget about ourselves. Discuss ways to look at how to care for ourselves,
build relationships with other adults, and how to avoid parent burnout.
Don’t wait until you’re so far past the end of your rope that you have
nothing to grab onto.

• lack of family support.
This class offers parenting
education, community
resources, children’s learning
activities and time to play for
parents facing these unique
challenges.
