Learn how focusing on nutrition can sometimes unmistakingly lead to bad habits and messages that create picky eaters and children who may grow up to have an unhealthy relationship with food. Discussion time will focus on information from the book, “It’s Not About the Broccoli,” by Dina Rose, Ph.D. Come away with strategies on how to create new habits and healthy messages to lay the foundation for variety in your child’s daily diet. Home visits are offered to families with children ages birth to kindergarten. ECFE provides pregnant and parenting young people, ages 13-22, with support services and parent education. Parent discussion topics include: • sleep, • nutrition, • the influence of media, • development, • discipline, • and more. This class also offers community resources, children’s learning activities and time for play. This class is ongoing throughout winter and spring.
