Preschool Aquatics Program
American Red Cross Preschool
Aquatics Program:
The love of swimming continues with the American
Red Cross Preschool Aquatics Program. Instructors
use fun games to teach bobbing, floating and life
jacket safety. Class is taught in the shallow end of
the pool, which is two and a half feet deep. This
class is for children ages three-and four-years-old
who are ready to swim without a parent in the
water. All preschool levels (1, 2, 3) are taught as a
combined class. The student report card at the end
of the session will reflect their current skill level.

Preschool Level 1:
Prerequisite skills: Comfortable in the water and
willing to go into a class without a parent. 4:1 ratio

Preschool Level 2:
Prerequisite skills: Passed Preschool Level 1 or
demonstrates equivalent skills. Student must be
able to glide independently on front and back for
two body lengths. 4:1 ratio

Preschool Level 3:
Prerequisite skills: Passed Preschool Level 2 or
demonstrates equivalent skills. Student must be
able to glide independently on front and back
and swim a combined stroke on front for six body
lengths. 4:1 ratio

Youth lessons
for children ages 5 and over:
American Red Cross “Learn to Swim”
Levels 1-6
4-day lessons (65 minutes in length): $74
We are a full service aquatics facility offering
recreational swim hours, pool rentals, lessons
for all ages and adult exercise classes.
