Activities and discussion times are tailor-made for families of toddlers.
Power struggles, toilet learning, positive discipline and boosting a child’s
self-esteem are topics that are discussed.

Terrific Twos & Threes (24-47 months)
Play and learn with your child in this class, designed for children emerging
from toddlerhood and entering the preschool years. Discuss strategies to
help you understand and appreciate everyday life with your child. Explore
a variety of skills that can help you nurture and guide your child through
their early years.
Parenting discussion for Wednesday Riverview class will be held
online on Wednesday afternoons – 2-3 p.m.

A Taste of Preschool (30-36 months)
A new twist for those young preschool-aged children and their siblings!
All children will enjoy classroom activities with their parents, but the fun
really begins when parents go to their parenting discussion and the big
kids (ages three through five) get to “practice” going to preschool in the
classroom while the younger siblings play in the sibling care classroom.
There will be learning activities in small and large groups similar to those in
preschool. Discussion topics will focus on helping children learn preschool
skills as well as topics that foster growth and development.
Parenting discussion for this class will be held online on Tuesday
mornings - 9:30 a.m.

Parents, Kids & Preschool
(3 years up to kindergarten)
This preschool class meets two days a week. At
Coon Rapids Family Place, the first day, parents
and children attend together. The second day is
for children only. Parent attendance is expected
in order for the child to participate in the childonly
day. Activities are aligned with the Anoka-
Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum to
enhance the development of social skills, math,
literacy, music, and science. Parenting topics
include getting ready for kindergarten, setting
limits, bedtime, and more.
Parenting discussion for classes held at
Andover Family Place will be held online.
M/W class: Mondays at 11 am
T/Th class: Tuesdays at 6 pm
