2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR
ANOKA-HENNEPIN SCHOOLS
FOUR-YEAR-OLD PRESCHOOL – OPTION 1
Free, half-day Monday-Thursday preschool option with
transportation included.
Option 1 is open to residents of Anoka-Hennepin Schools with
a child four years of age by Sept. 1, 2019, who meet the income
guidelines and live or attend daycare in attendance areas of the
schools listed to the right.
Income guidelines
Proof of income is required to
complete the registration. This
must be received within two
weeks of registration. Without
proof of income, your child will
not be placed in a class and their
registration may be withdrawn.
Families with more than seven family members
may call the Anoka-Hennepin Schools Preschool
office at 763-506-1500 for details.

Student class placement
Students will be placed in 2.75-hour morning or afternoon classes or
5.5-hour classes based on school district bus routes. Families will be
notified of the preschool class schedule before August 2019.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and will be placed as
space is available until classes are full.
Class schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursday with both 2.75-hour morning
and afternoon sessions and 5.5-hour sessions. Classes closely follow
the Anoka-Hennepin School District calendar.
Meal / snack
As part of the U.S. Free and Reduced School Meals Program,
children attending preschool in the morning will be served breakfast
or a snack. Children attending preschool in the afternoon will be
served lunch or a snack.
Online registration and availability
Registration for 2019-20 classes began in February - some
classes are full and only accepting wait list registrations. Eligible
families may visit our website for more information or to register.
Registrations are welcome throughout the year and are placed as
space is available until classes are full.
