Current research shows that some children will start kindergarten without the skills necessary for learning . Join us to learn about preparing your children for school , and how to encourage reading and math at home while your children learn about letters , numbers , counting and more .

Adventures in Parenting
Parenting is a challenging job with struggles and trials . For some , the challenge is even more difficult due to :
• mental health issues or anxiety ,
• added stress of money concerns ,
• parents with their own learning difficulties , or
• lack of family support .
This class offers parenting education and community resources for parents facing these unique challenges . There will also be time for play and children ’ s learning activities .
Limited transportation is available .

We all strive as parents to get our children to eat a variety of foods that are healthy . Learn how focusing on nutrition can sometimes unmistakingly lead to bad habits and messages that create picky eaters and children who may grow up to have an unhealthy relationship with food . Discussion time will focus on information from the book , “ It ’ s Not About the Broccoli ,” by Dina Rose , Ph . D . Come away with strategies on how to create new habits and heathy messages to lay the foundation for variety in your child ’ s daily diet .

Home Visiting
We ’ ll bring ECFE to you ! Home visits are offered to families with children ages birth to kindergarten . If you have questions regarding your infant , toddler or preschooler , schedule a personal home visit with a licensed family educator .
The family educator will come to your home to talk about :
• How children grow
• Being a parent
• Setting goals
