NEW | Fermenting Basics NEW | More Cast-Iron Cooking
What are the benefits of fermented foods? How can they be
incorporated into each meal? What is the difference between
pickling and fermenting? Join Chef AmyLeo to learn the basics
of fermenting. Come chop, jar and brine while sampling these
simply delicious and nutrient rich foods. You will make fermented
garlic, green beans and carrots using a very basic brine that you
will bring home to “let the fermenting begin.” Bring one, eight
oz. jar and two 16 oz. glass jars with lids. Class fee: $45. Continue perfecting your cast-iron cooking skills in this hands-
on class! You’ll review the care and feeding of cast-iron and
create dishes that demonstrate its unique cooking properties
including a sublime pizza; pan-fried chicken; crispy, golden
potato pancakes; potato and cheese-stuffed breads. Extensive
handouts provided. Bring a cast-iron skillet to class if you have
