NEW | Intro to Blues Harmonica
LANGUAGE
Learn the basics of the language and culture of Spanish-
speaking countries. This beginning class will introduce you
to the Spanish language, culture and food. Instructor is a
native speaker. Not meeting October 10 and 17. Class fee
includes textbook used in class. Class fee: $89 Spanish I;
$149 Spanish I & II, if registering together. Join solo country blues artist, Chris Holm, for hands-on
blues harmonica playing. Discover the basics in holding the
harmonica, playing using a lip pursing style, note bending
and cover basic music theory behind playing blues harmonica
in cross position style. Leave class knowing how to select the
correct harmonica, play simple melodies and be able to play
along to a 12 bar blues pattern. Bring your ten-hole diatonic
harmonica in the key of “C.” Class fee: $59.

Have fun learning common phrases for traveling, shopping
and ordering food as you practice communicating with a native

Easy Round Dancing
Round dancing offers the fun of ballroom dance music, but
the dances are called or “cued” like square dancing so no
memorization is needed. Learn a variety of dances to enjoy
and soon you’ll be able to dance like the stars. This social
dance class has been tapping toes for 30 years - join the fun!
Everyone is welcome; a partner is preferred. Pre-registration
not required. Meets weekly; see website for class meeting dates.
Class fee: $5 per session; paid at class.

MUSIC AND DANCE
NEW | Intro to Blues Guitar
Begin a musical journey through the world of blues guitar
playing. Join instructor and solo country blues artist, Chris Holm,
for this intro class. Get a basic understanding of what blues is
and how to play both lead and rhythm styles while focusing on
the key of “E.” Class instructed mainly using tabulature method,
but will also use standard notation. Bring your own acoustic
guitar. Class fee: $59.

Self-conscious or embarrassed about your dance moves? Gain
confidence dancing with a partner to current and classic songs
played at weddings, parties and most social events. Come with
or without a partner. Couples dance with their partner only and
singles rotate with one another. Teens and adults welcome.
Dance moves are easier than you think! Couples must register
individually. Class fee: $55.
Fall Wedding Dance Workshop
Sample wedding dance favorites such as the waltz, swing and
slow dance. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or want to
brush up on your steps for an upcoming wedding. Wedding
couples, family and friends are welcome - this sampler class is
for everyone! Instructor, Carol Brecht-Wiles, has been making
dance fun for more than 20 years. Wear hard-soled shoes.
Class fee: $25 one; $45 two.
