Growing Up In Small Town Anoka Make a Difference
Do you have a desire to learn more about Anoka’s history? Join
local authors, Barbara Thurston and Laurie Mackechnie, in reliving
some colorful Anoka history through their own experiences.
Discover the importance of preserving your own history for
upcoming generations. This event will feature stories shared from
their books along with an interactive discussion. Books available
for purchase after program. Class held at Stoney River Assisted
Living in Ramsey. Class fee: $19. Feel good about making a difference! Learn about volunteer
opportunities in Anoka County serving children, adults, seniors,
groups and/or families. Many short-term and long-term
opportunities are available. Handouts provided. Presented by
Anoka County Volunteer Alliance (ACVA). Although this is a free
class, pre-registration is required.
