Make a Difference Yoga-Gentle Yoga for Boomers
Feel good about making a difference! Learn about volunteer
opportunities in Anoka County serving children, adults, seniors,
groups and/or families. Many short-term and long-term
opportunities are available. Handouts provided. Presented by
Anoka County Volunteer Alliance (ACVA). Although this is a free
class, pre-registration is required. Class fee: Free. Gentle Yoga is perfect for boomers and seniors. We will move
through seated, standing, traditional and modified yoga poses
with additional focus on stretching, flexibility, balance, and
restorative breathing promoting stress reduction and relaxation.
This class is shoe and joint friendly and we do not get down on
mats. Dress in comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Bring
water and optional mat for grip and stability. See website for class
meeting dates. Class fee: $45 for 6 sessions; $49 for 7 sessions.

We are all drawn to stories, both the true and the imagined.
No matter what the story, we are drawn in by the same
things: tension or excitement, characters we can relate to and
descriptions so real we feel like we’re there. Discover the basic
elements of writing personal and fictional stories through work
in writing exercises and peer review. Learn how to tell the story
you want to tell. Bring writing materials of your choice. Not
