Spring Forest Qigong
It is important to review your Medicare prescription drug plan each
year during the Open Enrollment period. Learn how Part D works,
including the impact of the Affordable Care Act on “the donut
hole.” Hear about the new five star plans available throughout
the year. “Extra Help,” a program for people with lower incomes,
will be explained. Copies of the “Health Care Choices” booklet,
published by the Minnesota Board on Aging, will be provided.
Class fee: $19 one; $25 two.
Qigong is a simple, effective and easy-to-learn method for helping
you experience your optimal health, wellness and happiness. By
learning to balance the energy in your body, you enhance your
physical, emotional and spiritual well being, relieving physical
and emotional pain, stress and other health issues. Spring Forest
Qigong (SFQ), combines gentle movements, breathing and
visualization along with sound and can be done while standing or
sitting. This Level I class includes information along with instruction
and practice of the exercises. Instructor is SFQ Certified. See

combining traditional art forms such as drawing, painting,
collage and printmaking resulting in unique individual works
of art known as mixed media. This class will give you a taste of

Savvy Social Security Planning for Couples
The Social Security decisions spouses make when they are in their
60’s will determine the amount of total income they will receive
over their lifetime - including the lifetime of the spouse who lives
the longest. This workshop will cover some little-known rules that
can help married couples get more out of the Social Security
system. Supply fee of $5 paid to instructor at class for booklet.

Minnesota has some of the best bicycle trails and lanes in the
country. Understanding trail and bicycle lane rules and etiquette
will increase your enjoyment of our trail and bike lane system.
This one hour class will focus on trail rules, laws and guidelines
for bicyclists. Handouts from state and local resources will be
provided. Perfect for families (age 12 and older), or for riders who
wish to safely explore Minnesota on a bicycle. Bring your bicycle
and helmet as we will put our trail etiquette to use on Champlin
city streets and trails. Class meets at Trailhead Cycling in Champlin.
