Paint Your Pet Crochet Beginning
Come paint a portrait of your furry loved one. Pet portraits make
amazing gifts. After you register, email a high quality jpeg. photo
file of your pet to instructor Vanessa Merry, merrytimearts@
comcast.net, with the subject line, “Anoka-Hennepin Pet
Portraits.” One pet per person/canvas please. Photos must be
received via email at least two weeks prior to the class date. Your
pet will be hand drawn onto a 16 in. x 20 in. canvas for you to
paint in class with the help of a professional artist. All supplies
are provided. Class fee: $55. Crochet is fast and fun. Learn the basics of crochet including
chaining, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches and color
changes. Plus, discover what yarns and threads should be used
for each project and how to block a finished piece. Bring scissors.
Supply fee of $7 paid to instructor at class. Not meeting April 9.

Create unique and decorative art inspired by artist Laurel Burch.
You will work with fluid watercolor, colored pencils and pastels
on watercolor paper with hearts, flowers and more as subject
matter. Line, pattern, shape and color will be explored in this fun

Watercolor-Seasonal Approach
Discover the joy of watercolor as you explore techniques,
compositions, watercolor mixing and washes. You will incorporate
basic art elements and principles into a variety of paintings.
Join educator and artist, MaryLeah Marshall, in this fun, relaxed
atmosphere where subject matter is seasonally themed and
instruction is adapted to include the new or experienced artist.

Cord Rug
Make a beautiful rug from macramé cord. These 18 in. x 30 in.
rugs are durable, washable and can last a lifetime. This rug uses
only simple crochet stitches and can easily be done even if you
do not crochet or have not crocheted for a while. Supply fee of
$25 cash paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $29.
Learn to make the timeless Granny Square. Once you learn how,
this crochet stitch can make baby blankets, larger blankets, scarfs
and more. The possibilities are endless! Familiarity with chain
and double crochet stitches required. Bring a size H hook with
two different color skeins of yarn and a scissors. Class fee: $29.

NEW | Intro to Rug Hooking-Mug Rug
Learn the early method of rug hooking using a simple hook to
pull loops of wool fabric through a linen backing. You will create
a simple mini rug of your own design from examples given in
class. Perfect to use as a mug mat, coaster or trivet. These mug
rugs are sure to be conversational items in your home and will
fit into any decor! Bring a 10 in., 12 in. or 14 in. quilt hoop, small
scissors, pen/pencil and lunch to class. Supply fee $25 paid to
