NEW | Knit and Felt-Snowman Spring Basket
Knit-and-felt is the process of throwing a loosely sloppy-knit
100 percent wool project into your washing machine to create
a shrunken version of its original knit-self. This woolly snowman
stands about seven inches tall after being stuffed. In the first
class, you will begin knitting the snowman and learn about
the how-to’s of felting. Come to the second class with your
felted and stuffed snowman, and we will create the beaded
arms, embellish the face and start knitting a top hat and scarf.
Intermediate knitting experience preferred, no felting experience
necessary; double point needle experience recommended.
Supply fee of $20 paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $39. Weave this whimsical spring basket that becomes a spring
centerpiece or perfect for an egg hunt! Color choices of soft
variegated pastels or vibrant spring solid hues of periwinkle,
hot pink, apple green, blues and reds. It begins with a solid oak
bottom and a swinging oak handle is optional. The fancy woven
curlicue is the finishing detail that highlights the rows of color.
