rones for Non-Dummies-
Beyond the Basics
The Twin Cities are home to one of the world’s greatest
migration corridors, The Mississippi River Flyway, which offers
residents wonderful opportunities to observe birds throughout
the metro, including in their own backyards. Unfortunately,
climate change and dwindling habitat are imperiling both
migratory and non-migratory birds. Learn what these challenges
are and what can be done to help birds not only in your own
yards, but in the greater community, as well. Class fee: $19. Move beyond the basics by looking at drone decision making,
flight planning, and how to prepare for your Federal Aviation
Administration Part 107 among other certifications. You will also
learn about basic tools, simulators, apps, cameras, commercial
considerations, new and emerging regulations, insurance,
practical tips, techniques, and trends to be aware of. Weather
permitting, an instructor-only demonstration flight may be held.
Students ages 12-17 are welcome to register with an adult.
Class fee: $35 individual or $50 adult/child.
