NEW | 5K Training Bone Boosters
Whether this is your first or 10th 5K race, this is the training
plan to help you cross that finish line feeling strong. Start with
a warm up and then walk or run and end with a cool down,
while progressively running more each week. The instructor has
completed many 5K, 10K, half marathons and a full marathon.
Class will meet at Sandburg Education Center and run outside
on instructor led path. Bring a water bottle, and a device that will
track time. Wear good fitting running shoes and dress in layers
for the weather. See website for class meeting dates.
Class fee: $45. Boost your bones by adding strength training to your exercise
routine! Strength training will build your bones and benefit
your joints by strengthening the surrounding muscles, which
will keep your joints in alignment to decrease wear and tear.
Use free weights, resistance bands and floor work for a total
body workout that everyone can do. Class will include balance
and agility training. Dress in comfortable clothing, and bring
athletic shoes, water, and a cushioned mat. See website for class

Arms and Abs
Target your arms, shoulders, chest, back and core. Use light
hand weights and body weight exercises to tone arms and taper
your torso. Bring mat, water and hand weights from two to eight

sessions; $49 for 7 sessions.

Body Step
A cardio/core workout step class using your body weight as
resistance. This weight-bearing aspect is increased every time
you step up, improving bone health and density. You will get a
great cardio workout while also building muscle, and improve
coordination while burning calories. Core conditioning will take
place the last part of class, giving you strength and flexibility.
Bring water, yoga mat, and optional hand weights. See website

Boot Camp
Get everything you need by combining cardio, strength, muscle
endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement. You will
utilize the principle of muscle confusion - your body will not
adapt or plateau because it is designed to be different all the
time. We will use various equipment during class. Bring hand
weights from two to eight lbs., yoga mat, stability ball if you
