Nature Sketching in Color Pencil
What better classroom is there than nature? Experience the joy
of drawing colorful plants and birds outdoors in early summer.
The surroundings and natural lighting will provide an opportunity
to focus on light/shadow, proportion and perspective. All

Make a Difference
Feel good about making a difference! Learn about volunteer
opportunities in Anoka County serving children, adults, seniors,
groups and/or families. Many short-term and long-term
opportunities are available. Handouts provided. Presented by
Anoka County Volunteer Alliance (ACVA). Although this is a free
class, pre-registration is required.

Tai Chi for Health and Wellness
This gentle Sun Tai Chi form improves mental and physical
capacity as well as relaxation, balance and vitality. Helps
relieve pain, increase range of motion and improve quality
of life. Recommended for arthritis and fall prevention. Can
be done sitting or standing. Wear flat shoes, (sandals not
recommended), and loose, comfortable clothing. Instructor is
certified in Tai Chi and has over 13 years teaching experience.
Class held at Estates of Arbor Oaks in Andover. Class fee: $39.

Golf Lessons-Beginning
Learn the fundamentals of swinging, chipping and putting.
Instructed by golf course pros. Bring clubs each session if you
have them; call 763-506-5766 if clubs are needed. Class held at
Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka. Range fee of $15 cash paid
the first night. Class fee $49.

Kayaking
This hands-on beginner class is set up to teach the basics of
kayaking from qualified instructors. You will learn about safety,
proper paddling form and paddle strokes, all while surrounded
by the beauty of a nature-based park. All equipment provided.

Regional Park in Maple Grove. Class fee: $45.
